The Deaprtment of Social History, Museum of Victoria, Australia, has as its
major focus "the everyday lives of Victorians", and has, since its inception
ten years ago, focused exclusively on developing programs around this
idea/philosophy.  The way in which we do this is to break the idea into
several themes, being: Migration and Settlement, Working Lives, Domestic and
Community Life, Public and Institutional Life, People and the Environment,
and more latterly, Popular Culture.  We have a substantial Collecting Policy
document (currently under revision) for those of you who are really
enthusiastic.  Perhaps those of you who desire a copy could e-mail me
personally.

I hope this message makes it.  I've been a subscriber for a while now, but
have not yet managed to reply successfully.  If this one gets through,
there'll be no stoppin' me!  Unfortuante for those who are concerned about
