STORE MANAGER-RETAIL SALES AT 
NEWARK AIRPORT, NJ


The Metropolitan Museum of Art, one of the world's finest museums, seeks a Store Manager for Retail Sales at the Newark Airport Shop, NJ.  The major responsibilities for the Store Manager are to provide excellent customer service on the selling floor that will exceed customer expectations.  The Manager will ensure and participate in zone coverage of the selling floor and achieve sales goals.  The Manager will direct shop and stock maintenance, and participate in loss prevention efforts.  The Manager will control and monitor expenses, payroll, and the opening and closing functions of the store.  The ideal candidate must be sales oriented, outgoing, and have good interpersonal and communication skills.  Must have the experience and creativity to drive sales and ability to develop, supervise and motivate staff to engage customers, make sales and maintain the shop.  Must have the ability to employ available resources to control expenses and solve problems.  Must have 3 to 4 years supervisory experience in retail sales.  Offer is contingent upon the applicant's successful approval for a security clearance conducted by The Port Authority of NY & NJ.
