Hi,

I have been using a Sarif Shuttle LT800 for the last several years. Sarif
was bought out and the Shuttle was replaced by the Vivitek 200AV. New, these
are selling for about $1500 (I think they have been recently discontinued
though and are getting harder to find). I have seen used ones selling for
about $800 or so.

These are very rugged machines...they are encased in heavy plastic and can
take the abuse of traveling. They project about 300-400 lumens which will
provide a good image in a fairly lighted room. They do weigh about 14 pounds
though which is much heavier than the more expensive lighter models.
However, they are small enough (about 14" high and 8"wide) to fit in a
catalog case. Currently, I can carry both the projector and my PowerBook in
the same case...very handy!

Another nice thing is that this projector is tall and narrow...instead of
the traditional flat machines. This makes it possible to set the projector
up fairly close to the screen instead of having to set the projector
somewhere in the middle or back of the room.
