Collection Manager Position Available.

The Division of Invertebrates, Department of Zoology of the Field Museum of
Natural History has an opening for an experienced collection manager.  The
collection, with several hundred thousand series, encompasses the recent
invertebrate holdings of the Field Museum except terrestrial arthropods.
The historic and continuing emphasis of the collection is in Mollusca with
notably strong terrestrial gastropod holdings.  This position carries with
it responsibilities for all aspects of modern collection management, active
participation in an ongoing NSF-funded collection computerization grant,
participation in public education and a role in planning an anticipated new
space for wet collections.  Experience in collection management, familiarity
with database systems and graduate education in biology, preferably
concentrating on mollusks or other invertebrates, are highly desired.  For
