Tracie, I was going to suggest you privately send me
the info, but, upon thinking it over, why don't you
send it to the list. It will help the newcomers. I
will keep a copy of what you suggest (as I have with
the other suggestions).

Addressing what our esteemed friend Mr. Ross Weeks
said in his note earlier, the FAQ is not intended to
supercede personal contact. A good lot of us take new
folks under wing as they arrive and give them inputs,
support, and counsel.

But having this information in some nifty format will
avoid the need to replicate. Having it up in some
published place will mean that not one person will be
responsible for disseminating the information.

As to the newer folks, if you've not met Mr. Weeks,
you should ([log in to unmask]). He has a very
colorful and creditworthy history and is a great
person to know. He's often swamped in his job, but he
does take the time to take an interest in the up and
coming.
