Mr. Reuter
You might want to talk to these folks (The Leonardo Science Center) they are opening on Oct. 8, in Salt Lake City, UT and have solar panels and used grant money to pay a lot of the overhead cost.

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] Museums & solar panels

Hi all,

Our institution is exploring green alternatives to cutting our utility costs as well as minimizing the energy usage in the community around us. One of the ideas that has been floating around is the installation of solar panels on the roof of our facility. I’m curious if other museums have attempted this and if so, what kind of unique funding/partnership opportunities are out there to create programs such as these. Thanks for your input!
