MINIMUM STARTING SALARY FOR NEW HIRE:  $22,329
INTERNAL APPLICANTS:  PRT’s Promotional Increase Policy Will Apply.

This is a full time, permanent position.  Field positions work a forty-hour
rotating schedule, including weekends & holidays as scheduled.

JOB PURPOSE:
Under general supervision, assists with overall operation and educational
programming of Rose Hill Plantation State Historic Site.  Performs
diversified duties as governed by general instruction, policies and
standard operating procedures of the Department. Conducts research to
enhance the interpretation and management of park resources. Catalogs and
manages historic structures, landscapes, collections and artifacts.
Coordinates with volunteers in conducting workshops and other park
projects. Performs grounds activities and assists with the park’s
maintenance. Assumes the responsibilities of the Park Manager in the
absence of higher level employees.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor Degree in History, Education or related field.

** Candidates MUST specifically meet these required qualifications or an
equivalent combination of education and experience to be considered for
this position.

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.  Position
requires light to medium lifting, walking, standing on uneven terrain,
crawling, working at heights and during extreme weather conditions.
