Neil,

Our museum has just gone through this process during the past year.
The software systems we reviewed were:

Vista Ticketing
2b Technology
Glen Allen, VA 23060
800-296-8464

Select Ticketing
Syracuse, NY
315-479-6663

TicketStop
Bellevue, WA
800-961-6111

LaserGate Systems
Clearwater, FL
813-725-0882

Paciolan Systems
Long Beach, CA
310-595-1092

I attended AAM last spring, where the ticketing vendors had booths,
and spent quite a bit of time viewing their demos & talking with
sales reps. I found that a handy way to narrow the field to a few
companies that I pursued further. Our museum still hasn't installed
a system yet (we had to wait until our 1998 budget kicks in Jan. 1),
but I'd be happy to pass along any other information off-list.

Best of luck with the search!
