The Washington Conservation Guild is a network of professional conservators in this area who have compiled a useful directory of conservators in the region. We have had a very good working relationship with this organization and its members.

Also if you go to AIC, the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works, they have a "find a conservator link" http://www.conservation-us.org/

Subject: looking for conservator

Dear List,

I had some folks visit our museum today who were looking for a fire arms conservator. They had a pair of Civil War era Colt revolvers and the leather holsters. They live in the West Point, NY area.

Anyone have a suggestion?

Thanks!

Ben
