We have a deer hide painting c. 1900 that is currently on display flat.
We are taking it off display and are looking for the best way to store
it. The hide was previously stored flat with tissue or another material
covering it. Storage locations have changed since this time and we would
like to store it in a way that would take up less room. So I am
wondering if loosely rolling the hide on an acid free tube would be an
option? Has anyone had experience with this? How are others out there
storing their hides. I should say that the hide is in good shape.

Thanks,
