Dear all

I am trying to find out about practises in relation to the collection and
storage of associated and contextual material that often comes with an object
when it enters the museum. I am referring to documents and oral information
etc,
much of which comes from the donors/vendors.

Does anyone have a system for collecting this type of information when an
object enters a museum? If so how is this information stored?

I would also be interested in knowing if anyone has come across case studies,
resources or articles on this subject. Something that would give me an idea of
best practise would also be very useful.

If applicable, I am happy for replies directly to my email address.

Many thanks

Johanna
