Exhibits fabricator/installer at Museum of the Earth: Three to four month
position to fabricate and install exhibits, including mounting
paleontological and geological specimens, in the new Museum of the Earth in
Ithaca, NY. Start date by July 1st if possible. Project managing specimen
mounting, and work cooperatively with vendors on specimen mount and exhibit
fabrication. Undertake design review, installation monitoring, and quality
control. Work on exhibits designed and fabricated in-house.
Salary high 20's-mid 30's (annual), commensurate with experience, plus full
benefits. Qualifications: Previous experience in fabrication & installation
of large exhibits highly desirable. Should have good technical,
organizational, and communication skills.
The Museum of the Earth at the Paleontological Research Institution is a
major new exhibits facility engaging visitors in the history of the Earth
