Hi Adrienne,

        I do not believe there is any one program that goes through collections
management (including conservation/preservation) AND appraisal.  If you
are interested going "north of the border" to study conservation (an MA
degree), you might consider contacting Queen's University in Kingston,
Ontario, Canada.  Their URL is:

        You might contact Sotheby's [http://www.sothebys.com/about/institute/]
and/or Christie's [http://www.christies.com/ (Hold mouse over "About
Christie's," and click on Christie's Education)] for information about
their programs which may -- or may not -- include
conservation/preservation and appraisal.
