This message is specifically addressed to vendors in North America (USA
and Canada) who offer PHYSICAL records storage services. If you are
interested in participating in the contract summarised below, please
send me contact information for your company.

Please excuse cross-listing (this message has also been posted to the
Archives & Archivists listserv and the Records Management listserv).

CONTRACT SUMMARY

This will be a City-wide "Requirements Contract" for records storage,
and associated services, for agencies in the City of New York. A
"Requirements Contract" is similar to a GSA contract; it is intended to
serve the needs of multiple New York City agencies, and some Public
Benefit Corporations located in New York City. An example of a Public
Benefit Corporation is the Metropolitan Transportation Authority's New
York City Transit Authority (NYCTA).

This would be a long-term contract (10 years +).

We're looking for multiple vendors in each of four (4) Classes of
services:

CLASS 1 is warehouse storage of inactive records. Class 1 also
encompasses warehouse storage and related services for photographic
media that do not require the special storage conditions provided by
Class 2 and Class 3 services as well as certain artifacts (physical
objects) that are considered City records. Examples include geological
core and soil samples, biological specimens, and architecture models.

CLASS 2 is vault storage of records in environmentally controlled
conditions. It is expected that Class 2 storage will be used principally
for records that require permanent preservation, including high-value
paper records and photographic media, such as black-and-white
photographic negatives, prints, slides, and microfilm.

CLASS 3 is vault storage of records in cold or frozen conditions. It is
expected that Class 3 storage will be used principally for long-term
preservation of nitrate and acetate films and for color photographic
media, such as color photographic negatives, color prints, color slides,
and color microfilm.

CLASS 4 is staff services to perform specialized storage-related tasks,
such as boxing records, preparing inventories, performing data entry,
and conducting needs assessments.

Many thanks for your help, and

Best regards.

Fred
