Exhibit Specialist

Classification:

Temporary/Full Time
1-2 years

Basic Function:
The Exhibit Specialist is responsible for exhibit
production and workshop maintenance. The work
includes the construction and installation of permanent,
temporary and traveling exhibits. This position is also
responsible for the maintenance and repair of the
Museum's exhibits and teaching walls in coordination
with other members of the Exhibits department.

Qualifications:
Three years experience in the fabrication of exhibit components.
The candidate must be able to:
* Interpret blueprint drawings
* Use a variety of wood, metal and plastic machinery.
* Do custom spray finishing.
* Cut and install plastic laminate.
A familiarity with interactive exhibit methods and technologies
is also necessary.
