TO KICK-OFF THE CELEBRATION OF ARTS & HUMANITIES MONTH, the Fulton County
Arts Council is offering the following FREE workshops on October 5, 1999:

Artists and Organizations: Collaborating for Success
October 5, 1999, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
The Arts Exchange, 750 Kalb Street SE, Atlanta

Partners in art... creative solutions... artists and organizations working
together. These will be the topics discussed during this roundtable of Fulton
County artists and arts administrators who have participated in successful
collaborative projects in the past. The roundtable will be facilitated by
Kathie deNobriga, who has many years of expertise in the subject of artists
collaborations acquired through her work at Alternate Roots. Participants are
encouraged to bring a brown-bag lunch to spend some time after the roundtable
trouble-shooting. Following the roundtable, Arts Council staff will be
available to discuss funding opportunities for artists/organizations
collaborative projects through the Fulton County Contracts for Services
Program.

How to Write a Captivating (and Effective) Proposal

October 5, 1999, 6:30-9:30 p.m
Hammonds House
503 Peeples Street SW, Atlanta

A captivating proposal... Yes, it's possible! The Arts Council is offering a
proposal writing workshop to give potential applicants a good handle on the
critical elements of a good proposal (for any funder). The workshop will be
led by Kathie deNobriga, arts consultant and former director of development
of Alternate Roots. Be prepared for hands-on exercises and critiques; learn
key words and critical mistakes to avoid.

Both workshops are FREE and open to the public. Advance registration is
appreciated. To register, please call 404/730-5780.
