What an interesting sounding museum! My suggestion for your prizes is something we do here. We give away tickets and coupons to other community related institutions. Tickets to local playhouses, symphonies, even discounts to our local aquarium which is our biggest competition. We look to our community for support and try to do the same for them. I think we also strongly depend on donations from anywhere (like Fridays Restaurants, yuck). Since you are doing things with photos, maybe your photographers would like some free film coupons or a gift certificate to a local camera shop. Hope this helps.
