Here at the Smiths Falls Railway Museum we are in the process
of doing some routine maintenance on our former Canadian
Pacific diesel locomotive 6591. It is an ALCO S-3 model built
by Montreal Locomotive Works in 1957.

We are looking for a single pair of journal brasses for this
locomotive. The size of the brasses is 6.5" x 12".

We have access to facilities to renew the brasses that are in the
locomotive, however we cannot leave the locomotive up on jacks
for the time it will take to re-babbitt and machine each pair.

As the locomotive will not be moved the brasses we are looking
for need not be good ones, they need only be the correct size.
They will be used to replace each pair in turn while they are
being renewed.

Any help in finding suitable brasses would be greatly appreciated.
Please e-mail me if you have any information,

Robert
