Dear Museum List members,

I am writing to introduce Culturekiosque, an Internet publication which gives
wide coverage to cultural events throughout Europe and elsewhere, whose
editorial headquarters are in Paris, France.

Exhibitions of all kinds (fine arts, sculpture, archaeology) organized by
museums and galleries, form an important part of our editorial content and we
hope to develop this section of Culturekiosque in coming months. The Art &
Archaeology magazine regularly reviews exhibitions of all types (examples :
Hunters & Warriors currently on view at the little-known Musie Dapper in
Paris, or the recent Piero Manzoni exhibition at the newly renovated
Serpentine Gallery in London. A review of the Magritte exhibition in Brussels
will be published shortly).

Our Calendar aims to point an international audience towards significant and
interesting (but not necessarily the largest) shows on view. For information
regarding events, the Culturekiosque editorial team relies very heavily on
museum Press Services, and we welcome comments, suggestions and press
releases.

If you are unfamiliar with Culturekiosque, here is a brief presentation:

Named "Europe's cultural news site" by France 2 Television, recently made a
"HOT SITE by USA TODAY, "cool site" in Europe by Netscape, AT&T Top 10 Site,
and 1996 - 1997 HOME PC award-winner as one of the 500 Best Sites on the WEB,
Culturekiosque offers news, features, criticism and interviews about art
exhibitions, classical music, festivals, opera and pop stars, jazz, dance,
CDs & CD-Roms, international cuisine and technology in English, French and/or
German.

Editorial staff is composed of international journalists and critics from
major dailies and specialist publications in Europe and the U.S. (The
International Herald Tribune, Le Monde, Financial Times, The Wall Street
Journal Europe, TIME, Handelsblatt, Neue Z|rcher Zeitung, The Guardian,
Svenska Dagblat, BBC Music Magazine, Radio France International, Fanfare,
Opera, The Dancing Times among others).

Enter Culturekiosque and discover Klassiknet, Operanet, Jazznet, Dance,
Cyberchef, Art & Archaeology, Nouveau, Tech. The Calendar keeps international
travellers abreast of significant cultural events worldwide.

please do not hesitate to contact me.
