Then it's got to be Irish, otherwise it's "whisky."  I'm a whiskey guy,
myself, but certainly enjoy a Scotch (single malt, neat, please) or the
occasional Bourbon, but in the latter case, almost always mixed with
something of the non-diet variety.  I recently had occasion to try some
Maker's Mark, which I believe Jack Daniels now owns, but don't quote me on
that.

Museum content:  The old Jameson distillery in Dublin provides a
fascinating tour, explaining the differences between different types of
distilled fermented beverages and the history of the Jameson company.
They also had a really cool little scale model of a gristmill with moving
parts.  A word of caution: if you go on this tour early in the morning,
and if you volunteer for the whiskey tasting portion, you'd better bring a
spare liver and a few replacement brain cells.  There is nothing in this
world as strange as being drunk in Ireland at 10:30 a.m.  Not that there's
anything wrong with that...
