Museum Registrar.  The 175,000 sf. Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum, opening in April 2001, is a new, non-collecting institution focusing on "The Story of Texas."  The registrar will work intensively with a wide range of public and private lenders to manage all aspects of registration procedures and operations for the on-going and temporary Museum exhibits including:  exhibit artifact sequencing and installation during the pre-opening phase; team-member participation in artifact planning, identification and selection for exhibit rotation; implementation of loan policies and procedures; incoming loans and loan returns; creation and maintenance of artifact databases and location inventories; other tasks related to artifacts borrowed by the Museum.  B.A. degree in history, art history, museum studies, library/information science or related field with at least five years of experience in museum registration and extensive temporary exhibition experience required.  Demonstrated knowledge of museum registration practices and procedures, excellent organization, communication and computer skills and the ability to trouble-shoot in a start-up environment.
