Subject: [MUSEUM-L] Portable Seats/Folding Stools for Museum Guests

Hello!

Our museum and historic sites are interested in purchasing portable seats/folding stools for our museum guests. These would be available for visitors, especially those whose physicality requires something light to carry, sturdy to sit, easy to maneuver and convenient to store, for use in our galleries and historic properties.

Does your museum/institution have portable seating/folding stools? If so, what brand have you purchased and how durable are they? How convenient for maneuvering and storing? How often are they used? What system do you have for “checking them out? Including use by guests during gallery/property tours, are there any other functions where your portable seating/folding stools have been used? What else should we know…?

Finally, are there any other institutions/museums that we should contact?

Any input would be extremely helpful.

Thank you!
Krystle
