Thanks to everyone who responded to my belly button wrap question.

The discussion about pharmaceuticals has been interesting. We have
quite a bit of prescription and over the counter medications as well
as household poisons that we have been wondering about. We have kept
the contents of all containers as found when the Truman Home was
donated to the federal government after Bess Truman's death in 1982.
We also have quite a few food products in their original containers
including wine, soda and a number of home canned foods like tomatoes,
beets and pickles. Most of our food is probably 25-40 years old and at
present we have no plans to discard the contents. Does anyone else
have similar food items in their collections, especially older
products that may be beginning to break down/degrade and effect their
containers? Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
