Hi all,

This is a bit of an unusual question. I was wondering if anyone knows of any
plans for a large Roman reenactment in Nashville at the Parthenon in the middle
of March of next year.

There's a production company wanting to film a movie trailer for a potential
Roman film that I'm not convinced is on the up and up. One of their claims is
that they are working with the City of Nashville to sponsor "the largest Roman
reenactment in the US" or something to that effect. Essentially, they want to
get a bunch of reenactors together under the guise of this reenactment so that
they can film their trailer with a lot of costumed extras for free. Don't get
me started on that.

Given that huge events like this are planned out at least half a year to a year
in advance and I've not heard or found any information about it until now,
makes me even more suspicious. I figure that if such a thing was being planned,
someone in the museum community would know about it or be working on it.

So if you do know anything or know who I could talk to to get said info, please
let me know.

Thanks!

Deb
