Kim,
I am currently a student at U of Oregon in Eugene, while we don't have
a Mus. program, we have a Master's in Arts Administration with the
option to concentrate and/or get a certificate in Museum Studies. The
professors are knowledgable, and you could take advantage of instate
tuition. Classes generally meet two days a week, so you might even be
able to commute if you really wanted to stay in Portland. Check out
http://www.aad.uoregon.edu for more info. Best wishes in your
decision making,

Sarah
