Would you like to get more involved in the museum profession? Would you
like to have the opportunity to network with hundreds of fellow museum
professionals? The Midwest Museums Conference membership committee needs
representatives from Minnesota and Michigan. If you are a
museum professional in one of those states and want to be more involved,
let me know. (Please send a message directly to my e-mail address
instead of posting to the list.) You would need to be a member of MMC or
be willing to join, like to talk to people and enjoy being a museum
professional. You would need to be able to send out occasional small
mailings (funded by your institution) or to call a few people several
times a year and attend your state organization meeting. The pay is $0
but the benefits are making great friends and making your regional
museum organization stronger and better able to do a good job for all of
us! (We also like to party a little when we get together!) So take a
chance and join up!
