DESCRIPTION:  Payette Associates seeks a Visual Resource Coordinator with a
pro-active public service attitude. We are an 130-person Boston
Architecture, Interior Design, Environmental Graphics, and Landscape
Architecture firm serving Academic, Healthcare, Corporate Research and
International clients. The Visual Resources collection is used by
architectural, marketing, and environmental graphic staff members.  The
collection is comprised of approximately 35,000 master slides,
transparencies, negatives, prints, and duplicate slides documenting our
architectural projects over the past 30 years.  For more information about

RESPONSIBILITIES:  Responsibilities include management and collection
development of the Visual Resources collection.  Day to day duties include
accessioning, mounting, labeling, cataloging and organizing slides and
prints.  Other duties include scanning images, maintaining the Visual
Resources collection database, assisting staff with access to the collection
and new employee orientations, aiding marking department with architectural
project proposals and award submittals, overseeing use and maintenance of
A/V and photographic equipment, providing photographic reproduction
information and services, and compiling monthly statistics on collection
development and use.  Coordinator collaborates with the Marketing Manager on
long range planning, policy and departmental issues.  Participates in Visual
Resources Association for investigating current and emerging visual
resources technology.

REQUIRED: BA/BFA.  Two years experience in a visual resources library/
center, working with visual materials including slides and A/V equipment.
Knowledge of photography, photographic materials and equipment, including
copy stand work.  Familiarity with computers, Internet technology and
digital imagery technology.  Ability to work independently and as party of a
team.  Candidate must be deadline oriented, able to prioritize, and
flexible.  Some experience with reference and/ or public service.

PREFERRED:  Some knowledge of architecture, the AAT, architectural/fine arts
reference sources, Microsoft ACCESS and experience working in a library.
