I really have to wonder how much of an impact the slidewalks have on
the typical visitor to the Crown Jewels exhibit. While I'm sure that
the people who put the exhibit together would like to believe that
there's some educational/historical value to their exhibit, it seems
to me that the typical visitor to this exhibit (along with the whole
Tower of London) probably _is_ viewing it in a "been there, done that"
frame of mind -- just something you do when you're on vacation in
London.

That's not to say that I think that this approach is a good one, but
it does seem that it might be a perfectly acceptable one for many
people, however apalling we may find it.

Some days you wake and immediately start worrying. Nothing in
particular is wrong, it's just the suspicion that forces are
aligning quietly and there will be trouble. -- Jenny Holzer
