Yes, we have two family restrooms in our KidZone area. Prior to the
renovation of this "enclosed" exhibit, visitors had to leave the space to
use the facilities. During the renovation we enclosed the restrooms within
the exhibit. We opted for Family Restrooms because it seemed to meet the
needs of the visitors (various caregivers with children). It is working out
very well. Our staff does not have to continuously monitor the door every
time someone needs to leave to use the restroom and caregivers do not have
to worry about taking strollers/other children with them outside of the
room. We have two family restrooms in the space, so waiting for one to
become available is not much of a problem. We are considering adding a
Family Restroom to another exhibit space that is undergoing renovation.
