I am trying to determine if there is a special name or term for the
technique of adhering an unstretched painting canvas directly to the
wall using wallpaper paste. I have learned of two methods: one method
uses a primed, but unstretched canvas, which is applied to the wall
and then the edges are painted to blend with the traditional
wallpaper behind it; the second method uses an unprimed canvas which
is adhered to the wall and then painted by an artist.

Thanks for any help you can provide with terminology,
