I am currently conducting research for my MA in Museum Education and would
like to ask the Museum-L art museum education community:

1. What type of educational training do you feel best prepares museum
professionals for work in museum education at an art museum?
a. academic art history
b. studio art
c. education -- what kind? how common are museum education degrees?
d. other -- i'd be interested in hearing of unusual backgrounds

2. In your experience, what effect have different educational backgrounds had
upon programming or teaching methods?

Please contribute to this conversation -- either on or off-list. I will treat
each response as an "email interview" if cited in my paper.

Thank you so much for your time.
Brenda Dougher, M.A. candidate, Museum Education
