Job Posting:  Executive Director, The Museums at Prophetstown, Inc.

Position Title:  Executive Director/CEO, The Museums at Prophetstown,
Inc. (MAP)

Accountable to MAP Board of Directors.  When completed, MAP will include
a Native American Interpretational Center, Prairie Environmental Center
and a Living History Farm.  MAP is dedicated to preserving and
interpreting the rich historic heritage of the Woodland Native American
and Wabash Valley agricultural history, culture and traditions; to
restoring examples of Indiana's prairie and savanna ecosystems: and to
sharing these treasures through educational experiences and cultural

Desired Qualifications:  Dynamic leader with University degree in
academic or related field; five years relevant experience; personal
integrity and commitment to the goals and vision of MAP.

Principal duties and responsibilities:

Museums Management:  Responsible for oversight of all aspects of MAP
operations including exhibitions; curatorial responsibilities;
accreditation; facilities and grounds; appropriate storage of all MAP
collections; and safety and welfare of all visitors, staff and
volunteers.

Development:  Responsible for financial development for the Museums
including membership, capital campaigns and special events.

Public Relations:  Responsible for being primary spokesperson for the
Museums and providing the leadership for local, state, regional and
national marketing and outreach of MAP through all appropriate media.

Staff Management:  Responsible for developing an organizational
structure, hiring and retaining qualified employees and providing the
leadership and training of personnel to meet or exceed the expectations
of the mission, vision and strategic plan of MAP.

Financial Management:  Responsible for developing and maintaining high
standards in administrative processes for all financial transactions and
financial record keeping, and for the formulation and adherence to the
annual operating budget.
