To Kelly Wilkerson et all
We use Remay a gauze like cloth ,courtesy of our textile conservator. I
cut a 5" square ,place it over the upholstery brush ,secure it with
strong rubber bands et voila . No particles or fibres of artifacts
disappear into the bag. You can see the progress and pick off the
accumulated dust. For artifacts I have one dedicated soft paint brush
for very dirty and one for reasonably dirty artifacts( yes folks we have
many artifacts stored in warehousing since the 30's) to bring the dust
to the nozzle held just above the surface.
Talk to your friendly local or in house textile conservator for a
supplier nearest you!
Happy July 4th to y'all!
