Thomas Frank, author of What's the Matter with Kansas?, and Nation 
columnist Katha Pollitt will be among the featured panelists at 
Contexts magazine's "How Many Americas?: Culture Wars and U.S. 
Politics," to be held Thursday, February 24th, 6-8 p.m. at NYU's  
Kimmel Center for University Life, Room 914 (60 Washington Sq. South at 
LaGuardia Place).

Other panelists are University of Pennsylvania Sociologist Elijah 
Anderson and Kimberly DaCosta of Harvard University's African and 
African American Studies Department. NYU Sociologist Eric Klinenberg 
will moderate the session.

The event marks the publication of the Winter 2005 issue of Contexts, a 
sociology magazine edited by James M. Jasper and NYU Sociologist Jeff 
Goodwin (www.contextsmagzine.org), which is now based at New York 
University. Contexts is the American Sociological Association's 
magazine for general readers.
