However, when Expert One says, "Run for the hills - it _will_ be terrible, millions _will_ die, etc..." and Expert Two says, "Well, you know, there's no evidence of any threat at the moment, it may become a threat, but then again it might not, we can't tell right now, etc..." which one do you think gets on the nightly news and into the press?

So let me get this straight: "the media" are conducting this nefarious 
campaign, right?  And "the media" are going to sell us drugs? Funny, all I'm getting 
from my media are reports that health professionals are concerned and/or 
worried about worst-case scenarios, and they're saying stay tuned.  It seems that 
there are at least two ways of overreacting to these reports...
