Hello everyone --

In a move many years ago, our museum made extensive use of packing 
"peanuts" for light objects such as baskets.  Based on fumes in the room 
where packing materials were temporarily stored, it was apparent that 
they were not chemically inert.  We are currently gearing up for another 
move and wondering if there are acceptable varieties.  If so, 
information on suppliers would be much appreciated.  Our plan is to bag 
each item before it is placed in the peanuts and then in boxes, so they 
won't be in physical contact, but this will likely not isolate them from 
potential off-gassing.
