Wanda, similar to cultivating "legacy" bequests on the fundraising side, you can now identify future "legacy" manuscript/paper/archive collections and make plans for their future donation to your facility. By identifying the VIPS and others now, you can make contact, express your interest and let them know that there is a place for this type of material. Having worked at a former military air museum, I usually received several inquires a year on where the family could deposit their fathers/grandfathers war "papers" and uniforms.
