Collections Assistant Position - Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum 

The Collections Assistant supports the Collections Manager who is
responsible for the museum artifact and artwork collections and participates
in exhibit design and fabrication. Primary duties of the position include:
preparation and maintenance of electronic and manual records; inventory;
storage, retrieval and transport of items; cleaning and monitoring of
collections in storage and on exhibit; basic artifact-related documentation
and research; assistance with preparation of exhibit text; and light exhibit
fabrication. Knowledge of Texas history and familiarity with artifacts
related to the American West is desirable. 

This is a full-time entry-level museum position. A Bachelor's degree in
Museum Studies, History, Art History or an applicable field with training
relating to Collections management and 3 years of experience is preferred; a
High School Diploma, a valid Class "C" Drivers License, basic computer
skills, a minimum of 1 year full or part-time collections management or
related experience, required.  The position is non-exempt and requires
periodic flexible hours, holiday and/or overtime work.  Salary Range: $
