I'm so glad someone asked about this, as I've been planning to!  I'm on
the board of a nascent museum in Boston and we're just starting out, so
I'm glad to have the advice already given.  We're currently scheduling a
retreat to work on a mission, goals and objectives, and I'd very much
appreciate any suggestions on the kinds of questions we should be
examining.  Are there documents available that can give us sample formats,
other ideas?  Do national or regional organizations have guides for this
sort of undertaking?
