The Adler Planetarium & Astronomy Museum is seeking a Support Technician
II to oversee all aspects of day-to-day computer support while handling
hands-on computer support.  This position reports to the Assistant
Information Systems Manager.

Responsibilities Duties:

-	Work with staff and I.S. support to resolve hardware and software
problems 
-	Set up, configure and maintain various types of network servers
-        Configure and support Adler’s network
-	Provide departmental database maintenance and inventory control
-	Work with vendors on pricing and configuration research
-	Maintain and configure telephone system

Education and Experience:

-	a high school diploma is required
-	some  college is preferred
-        minimally one year experience working in computer / network
support field
-	A+ computer certification 
-	advanced troubleshooting knowledge of Macintosh OS X and Windows XP

Must have the ability to prioritize and organize work.  Must have
excellent oral and written communications skills.
