My thanks to all who replied to our question regarding scanners.
The answers provided have given us much to consider, and many more
questions to ask ourselves.
I feel that there is much more research needed before we, as conservators,
can be as confident is using new technology as we are is using tried and
trusted methods.

Having said that, there is no getting away from the fact that new
technology is providing us with a new and exiting future in the field of
conservation.

Does anyone have any other views on the subject?
