I have to laugh, laugh, laugh.  The only field related to teaching and art
that is not overcrowded is probably art education, and that's because art
educators are worked 'till they drop. There is high attrition due to the
workloand and the snobbism of the studio art types.  Still, the B.A.
graduates from my smallish state school in the boondocks all supposedly
got real, full-time jobs, some before graduating.
  Other than that, look into occupational therapy or physical therapy.  I
asked my therapist why it was all the staff seemed to get along so well,
and she said, "Because our patients all get better."
   A large number of people I went to grad school with who got big
fellowships and grants have never found jobs in their fields.
