It used to be that if you did not confirm with "OK" without the quotes your message died.

You don't have to do any thing about the confirmation message. Or at least I
don't...

Send, message to the list, get the confirmation message and the post turns
up - it's what I do every time. I thought the confirmation message was just
that the moderator had your message, would review it then post it to the
list. The only time I didn't want a message posted I had to contact the
moderator in my confirmation message to cancel it.
