The Charles H. MacNider Art Museum seeks an energetic, creative, ambitious
Associate Curator/Registrar to help oversee its permanent collections of
American art and temporary exhibition program. Curatorial duties include
development and design of exhibitions, installation, record keeping, etc.
As registrar, performs collection management duties that include:
registration and cataloguing, maintaining and modifying the museum’s
collection management database and other related duties. Responsibilities
also include graphic design, website maintenance, public relations, research
& writing of publications, & special events coordination.
Requirements:
BA degree in Art History, Museum Studies, or related field, and curatorial
experience required. MA degree and collection management experience is
preferred. Good communication, interpersonal and organization skills are
required. Computer proficiency, including familiarity with art database
systems, Adobe Photoshop, desktop publishing and office software, is an
asset. A working knowledge of general office equipment is required.
