This position is the overall manager of the museum collection, exhibits, operation, events and includes some other park operational duties. It maintains, cares for, and evaluates all artifact items, including any items on loan or items donated to the park collection. Duties include creating exhibits of the collection items, presenting various programs, managing and coordinating historical research information, organizing and cataloging that information for future use by employees and visitors, supervision of staff, and other duties as assigned.
Position offers a full benefit package including paid holidays, annual and sick leave, health insurance, and retirement pension.
Applicants must meet or exceed these qualifications: the formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in history, art, or a related field plus two years of experience in museum exhibit programs, conservation of artifacts, or a related field. Nonqualified applicants need not apply.
