Well, one contributor to this thread wrote: "Should we have all journalists

However, I think you can take the "memorial should literally represent the
photograph" position without being racist. I just see the memorial as a
metaphor, not as literal truth (which the photo is, and NO ONE is suggesting
altering the photo). Photo = one thing, memorial = another thing. This seems
to be an unpopular opinion, however.

We may have gone as far with this thread as we can without getting too deep
into politics for civility.
