I would like to add, briefly, that I think it disgusting
that 'American' is taken to mean ONLY Caucasian,
African-American and Hispanic. If we're going to make it a
really inclusive monument, it ought to include reference to
EVERY ethnic and racial group, religion, gender and sexual
orientation, physical ability.

Is this what we really want and need to "heal" as a nation?
Some constructed fiction? Or, is the truth -- that three
Caucasian firefighters raised that flag -- good enough?
