I am posting this for someone not on the list.

As a new member of the board at the Laura Ingalls Wilder Home & Surveyor's
House, I am interested in helping this organization define who they are
and create some sort of collections policy. While the organization has a
mission statement, it does not have a collections policy. I am looking
for examples of succinct mission statements and collections policies from
institutions that are either historic house museums or historic sites.
Places that have an association with a literary figure would be especially
welcome.

Please fax any examples to me by 7/7/97, 5 p.m.

Thanks.
