Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village has recently deaccessioned a number
of items from its Agriculture and Domestic Life collections. These items
have been determined to be out-of-scope, redundant, or in poor or
compromised condition.

Analysis of the collections of Henry Ford Museum & Greenfield Village is an
ongoing and necessary process. Items recommended for disposal undergo an
extensive review process before being presented to the Board of Trustees who
must approve all deaccessions. Funds acquired from the disposal of
deaccessioned collection materials are used to directly advance the
development and care of the museum's historical collections. Deaccessioned
collection objects may not be purchased by or for and paid or unpaid staff
member or the Board of Trustees.

These are available for transfer to museum or other registered not-for
profit institution. The terms of the transfer are negotiable, though at a
minimum, the recipient will be responsible for all shipping costs.

The items include:

* 17 Sythes and Grain Cradles, with estimated dates ranging from 1828
to 1895
* 9 Plows and cultivators, with estimated dates ranging from 1790 to
1885
* 92 Sewing Machines, with dates ranging from 1858 to 1898
*       10 Saxony Spinning Wheels
*       35 Clock/Click Reels
*       26 Spinning Wheels
