Now that September is upon us, are you, your colleagues, or your
students working on a research project related to education,
interpretation, or professional training and development in museums, art
galleries, or science centres?

We are compiling a list of such projects for the OCTOBER issue of Museum
Education Monitor (MEM). If you would like your project to be included,
please send an e-mail to [log in to unmask] that summarizes:

- name of project
- research question(s) [no more than 50 words, please]
- principal researchers
- site(s) where research is being conducted
- time span
- contact information
- key words to describe the project [no more than 4 or 5, please]

Deadline for submissions for this issue is Friday, October 8, 2004.

Our goal as a publication is to connect existing researchers with one
another and to encourage museum workers generally to undertake their own
investigations. The information will be shared initially with
subscribers to Museum Education Monitor, but may be circulated more
widely in the future when past issues of MEM are available for download
on the website.

Projects listed in the August 2004 issue of MEM include: staff- and
volunteer-directed research within museums and galleries, academic
research by faculty and doctoral candidates, and work by independent
scholars and consultants. Ongoing investigations listed in August MEM:
